ANAEROBIC CO-DIGESTION OF SWINE AND LAYING HEN WASTE FOR BIOGAS GENERATION AND DIGESTATE QUALITY

Anaerobic digestion (AD) stands out as a degradation pathway for the treatment of agro-industrial waste. This study aimed to evaluate biogas production (Pb) from co-digestion swine (SW) and laying hen waste (LHW) under different temperature conditions (psychrophilic x mesophilic). The studies were carried on laboratory scale in anaerobic reactors (1.25 L) batch system 60 days. Three mixtures volumetric proportions (%) 25/75 (P1), 50/50 (P2), 75/25 (P3) (SW/LHW) studied. characterized before after AD terms TS, VS, COD temperatures 18 36 °C, with Pb measured daily. was higher at °C all compared psychrophilic condition (18 °C). Among mixtures, highest value observed P3, reaching 0.34 0.60 m3 kg−1 CODremoved respectively. digestate showed an increase contents micro-and macronutrients P1, P2, P3 AD, which indicates its use agricultural purposes. is promising proposal management energy recovery biogas, especially mesophilic predominance
